Sports Turf Company replaced the 50 year old natural turf field in downtown Buford with three new state of the art synthetic turf fields and provided additional improvements to the area outside the fields. The City of Buford has a very active youth sports program including soccer, football, T-ball and lacrosse. The main field, which will be used mostly for football and soccer, is equipped with an irrigation cooling system as a precaution in case the field gets too hot during the summer. Each field has a graded drainage base system.

Sports Turf Company worked with FieldTurf, an artificial turf manufacturer, who installed the Revolution Series synthetic turf. The artificial turf will decrease on the city’s costs for fertilizer, water and maintenance in the future. “We are very pleased with the completion of the fields,” said Dan Wright, Sports Turf Company Vice President. “They are beautiful and we could not have asked to work with better people through this project.”
